Reading Between the Lines: The Importance of Complex Language Development in Children and Adolescents

February 10, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

As children grow, more and more emphasis is placed on their usage and understanding of higher order language skills, such as inferential reasoning and figurative language. In this presentation, RNBC’s speech-language pathologist, Sara Brown, M.A., CCC-SLP/L, will share information on how these skills develop in children and adolescents and why they are so important, both academically and socially. Ms. Brown will also provide a variety of practical strategies parents can use to help support their child’s ongoing language development.
